RF Satellite / Microwave Test Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Test Engineer to work in our busy Satellite Telecommunications Test Department.

A minimum of two years experience in a Satellite and/or Telecommunications working test environment is required, qualified to at least H.N.C or equivalent.

Must have a 'hands on' ability to work from board level, through module to complete system testing and commissioning, with experience working with analogue/digital baseband up to SHF.

Experience with Satellite uplinks and/ or microwave links preferred with a broad knowledge of current test practices and procedures, including use of test equipment and basic computer skills, to enable the analysis of transmitted and received signals.

The right candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with regard to the day-to-day requirements of working within a busy test department. They should be able to work with the minimum of supervision, be clean and smartly dressed, display good communication skills both within the company and with customers and occasionally will be required to travel both within the U.K and overseas.

Job Specifications
•    The successful Applicant will be wiring cable looms for chassis, racks and outside broadcast vehicles for the Satellite Communications industry.
•    They will be assigned a work space but will be expected to be flexible enough to move around other departments if necessary.
•    The Applicant will need to work from drawings, sketches and circuit diagrams
•    The Applicant should be flexible to work weekends or extra hours at short notice.

Applicant must be experienced with:-
•    AC Wiring
•    DC Wiring
•    Audio/Video Wiring
•    Although not essential some minor mechanical experience would be beneficial 

The Applicant must also be:-
•    Self motivated,
•    Able to work in a team environment,
•    Clean and smartly dressed


Salaries: Dependant on experiance
Commencement: ASAP
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
